A round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool.
Speculation surrounding Liverpool’s move for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita continues, but the Bundesliga club are attempting to bat away interest.
The Daily Mail reported on Monday that the Reds are weighing up a club-record deal for Keita, who is believed to have a £48million release clause that can be activated in 2018.
RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita in action
Liverpool want him now though, and are allegedly ready to offer a greater deal now in order to sign the 22-year-old midfielder before the start of the Premier League season.
Guinean international Keita, who notched eight goals and seven assists, would be a huge coup for Liverpool, but Leipzig are determined to keep hold of their star midfielder.
Leipzig Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff has told Spotbuzzer that he is ‘bored’ of rumours surrounding Keita and Emil Forsberg, suggesting that Leipzig aren’t interested in selling either player.
Elsewhere, Liverpool continue to be linked with left backs, given that right-footed midfielder James Milner played there last season given Alberto Moreno’s poor performances, leaving Jurgen Klopp needing a natural left back.
Nice left back Dalbert
Now, Mercato 365 report that Liverpool are interested in signing Nice left back Dalbert, who impressed in Ligue 1 last season with three assists following a summer move from Vitoria Guimaraes.
The Brazilian is allegedly valued at €30million (£26.35million), and offers blistering pace down the left flank – but with Inter Milan also keen, Liverpool will have to move quickly to land him this summer.
