A round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool.
Liverpool’s pursuit of Naby Keita is dominating the headlines around the Reds right now, and their hopes have taken a dent this afternoon.
The Reds are hoping to prise the 22-year-old midfielder away from German side RB Leipzig, but they are unsurprisingly putting up a major fight to keep him ahead of their Champions League bow.

Keita, who joined Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg last summer, hit eight goals and seven assists last season, and Liverpool have been linked with a club-record deal to sign the Guinean international this summer.
Now, Leipzig’s director of football Ralf Rangnick has been quoted by The Times as saying that they won’t be selling Keita or any other key players this summer, handing a dent to Liverpool’s hopes of signing him.
“We will definitely not be letting any key players go. There’s nothing that will make us budge,” said Rangnick as he fights to keep the likes of Keita, Emil Forsberg and Timo Werner.
Elsewhere, the Daily Mail note that manager Jurgen Klopp still wants to improve his squad with three new signings, as he wants a centre back, left back and holding midfield player.

Whilst one move for Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk has fallen through this summer over allegations of tapping up, it’s claimed that Liverpool remain keen on signing the Dutch centre back.
Meanwhile, Hull’s Andrew Robertson remains a target for the left back spot, and the aforementioned Keita will be wanted to boost Liverpool’s midfield ahead of the new season.
