It’s now claimed that Southampton have been watching Van Dijk ahead of a possible move for the defender in January as Klopp looks to strengthen his back line with Van Dijk, a player who has it all; pace, strength, aerial prowess, great awareness and technical ability.

Elsewhere, The Mirror report that Manchester City are now trying to rush through a deal for Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon, as they look to beat Liverpool to his signature.
Sessegnon, 16, has broken into the Fulham first-team this season, and the left back has impressed with two goals to his name. The England Under-17 international has been tipped for a bright future, and City have allegedly stepped up their interest in him, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United also keen.
