Liverpool are reportedly set to speed up their efforts to sign Jude Bellingham amid news that Real Madrid have sent an emissary to Germany to meet the England international.

According to AS, the Anfield side could now go into overdrive to wrap up the signing of Bellingham, who is Liverpool’s main target for the summer transfer window and a player who is wanted by many of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Madrid.

Whilst Los Blancos don’t have the finances to match Borussia Dortmund’s £130m asking price for the midfielder, Madrid believe they can still agree on personal terms with Bellingham over a potential transfer, with the 19-year-old currently earning £49,000-a-week.

Although Madrid might have to pull off some miracles to sign Bellingham, their decision to send a representative to Dortmund has seemingly woken up Liverpool, who could now be ready to accelerate their attempts to bring the England midfielder to Anfield this summer.

Indeed, everyone and their mother is aware that Bellingham is Liverpool’s main target this summer, but with Madrid also showing a similar stance on the teenage superstar, the Reds could have to act fast if they’re to win the race for the former Birmingham City wonderkid.

And Madrid sending an official to Germany will do little to help Liverpool’s bid, with Jurgen Klopp’s side now likely to be scrambling a deal together that could be accepted by Dortmund, who will reportedly not budge in their £130m asking price for the wonderkid.

Madrid know they are financially outmatched by Liverpool when it comes to chasing a talent as expensive as Bellingham, yet Los Blancos are making all the right moves in all the right places to beat the Reds to the England international this summer.

Bellingham will find it hard to reject a move to Madrid, especially if Liverpool miss out on top-four, and with the Spanish side making a huge amount of effort to lure the midfielder to the Bernabeu, their Premier League rivals could find themselves stumbling in the race for the Dortmund man.
