According to The Daily Mail, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are determined to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, a player Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City also want.

Liverpool pushing hard for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount

The report has claimed that Liverpool are ‘pushing hard’ to bring England international midfielder Mount to Anfield from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Contract talks between Mount and Chelsea are not going well.

The 24-year-old is on £80,000 per week as salary, and he reportedly wants £240,000 per week.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to take advantage of the situation.

90min reported this month that Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Liverpool all want to sign Mount.

Interestingly, Italian news outlet CMW have reported that Chelsea could use Mount in a deal to sign Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Good signing for Liverpool

In our view, Mason Mount would be a good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Yes, a weekly salary of £240,000 is a lot, but that is what you have to pay for quality players these days.

Mount has been very good for Chelsea for a number of years now, and given that he is still only 24, he can only get better.

We believe that for a good transfer fee, the England international would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool and would make Jurgen Klopp’s side midfield more dynamic.
