Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is reportedly willing to wait an extra year to secure his perfect move, with Liverpool viewing the England international as their dream signing this summer.
According to the Athletic, there is a chance that the 19-year-old wonderkid could stay in Germany for another 12 months to guarantee the right move for his career, with Liverpool incredibly interested in signing Bellingham as their main transfer for the upcoming window.
As per the report, Jurgen Klopp is willing to go all out to land Bellingham in the summer. However, Dortmund’s asking price of £130m could cause a lot of issues for the Reds, with the fee almost double what the Anfield side paid to bring club-record signing Virgil van Dijk to the club in 2017.
With Bellingham seemingly keen on a move to Liverpool despite interest from the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid, there could be a small chance that the Dortmund star remains with the Bundesliga side for an extra year if the England star decides on a move to Anfield.

Indeed, Bellingham would suit Klopp’s system at Liverpool perfectly, with the Reds desperate for a box-to-box midfielder who can operate in the squad for many years to come. Yet if the Merseyside giants can’t afford to sign the Dortmund star this summer, the player himself could wait a year for a move.
As we know, Bellingham has been very smart with his he is managing his career, and the midfielder could see himself as a Liverpool player having decided to leave Dortmund. Though if the money isn’t there, the Reds could see the 19-year-old wait for a move in 2024.
Liverpool signing Bellingham in 2024 could be a realistic option

Bellingham is arguably the most sought-after prospect in Europe at the time of writing, and whilst Liverpool have been the favourites to sign the midfielder, the Reds waiting until 2024 could be a realistic option for the Premier League giants.
We know, FSG are now going nowhere despite putting the club up for sale, and if Liverpool’s owners are to cough up as much as £130m for a single player, Klopp and his team could have to wait until 2024 to have the correct funds to sign Bellingham, who could be keen to wait for the Anfield side.
