Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams this summer.

Leeds United accept that midfielder Tyler Adams may been the move this summer amid strong Premier League interest.

That is according to 90Min, who claim that Adams is wanted by a host of clubs after Leeds’ relegation.

The big interest comes from the Premier League with Liverpool and Tottenham understood to be interested.

Newcastle United are again mentioned as being interested in signing Adams whilst Leeds’ big rivals Manchester United are also keen.

Clubs in Italy and Spain are also monitoring Adams, as are teams in Germany just a year since Adams left RB Leipzig for Elland Road.

Leeds are likely to demand a fee that clubs outside of England can’t quite pay though having impressed in the Premier League.

Leeds paid £20million to sign Adams last summer and, if he doesn’t have a relegation release clause, could be sold for a profit.

Liverpool makes more sense than Tottenham for Tyler Adams

Adams has been one of few standout players for Leeds in their relegation campaign.

The 24-year-old even impressed at the World Cup and was hailed as ‘immense’ for his displays in the USA midfield.

Adams belongs in the Premier League and it’s no great surprise that top English clubs are now looking at him.

A move to Tottenham would be a surprise though.

Spurs already have battling midfielders like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp, and need to focus more on adding creativity going forward.

Adams isn’t really that player and wouldn’t really make sense for Spurs in this transfer window.

Liverpool need to bolster their midfield though and appear to be bringing in Brighton and Hove Albion’s Alexis Mac Allister.

Signing a more defensively-minded player would be ideal though, offering competition for Fabinho and providing more energy with James Milner on his way out.

Adams can fill that role and wouldn’t break the bank for Liverpool this summer, especially with Leeds now dropping into the Championship.
