Liverpool are being ‘increasingly aggressive’ with their advances to try and sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer.
Liverpool are really pushing for Mason Mount
The London Evening Standard report that Liverpool are making ‘increasingly aggressive advances’ to try and sign Mount.
The Blues midfielder is out of contract in 2024 and doesn’t appear to be close to agreeing a new deal.
It’s stated that Todd Boehly has now asked Mount to sign on for another one or two years rather than the seven years initially suggested.
The stand-off means Liverpool are now pushing harder and harder to lure Mount to Anfield.
Chelsea would want around £70million fro Mount but Liverpool are likely to try and bring that price tag down.
A host of other clubs are interested but it’s Liverpool who appear to be trying harder than most to sign the 24-year-old.

Steven Gerrard is a huge fan of Mount
Mount would surely play a starring role for Liverpool if he does make the move.
Liverpool need to completely retool their midfield and give Jurgen Klopp some new energy in the middle of the park.
Mount would be able to do that and he would certainly have the backing of Reds legend Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard has previously spoken very highly of Mount having witness his development at Chelsea and on loan at Derby County.
Gerrard, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, admitted that he has been a ‘massive fan’ of Mount over the years.
The Liverpool icon added that he thinks Mount is a ‘big talent’ and praised his ability to create and score in the final third.
If Liverpool get their way, Mount will become the new midfield hero at Anfield some eight years since Gerrard said goodbye.
