Aurelien Tchouameni is reportedly unhappy at Real Madrid amid claims that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring him to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

Aurelien Tchouameni situation at Real Madrid amid Liverpool interest

According to The Mirror, Liverpool want to sign Tchouameni from last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the 23-year-old defensive midfielder is “unhappy at limited chances” at the Spanish giants.

The Mirror reported last month that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants to bring the youngster – described by former Tottenham Hotspur director of football Paul Mitchell in Tuttosport in December 2021 as “a complete midfielder” who is “very fast and physically strong” – to Anfield in the summer of 2023.

The report claimed that the Merseyside club made a bid of £75 million to AS Monaco for Tchouameni last summer, but Madrid paid more and signed the youngster.

2023 Summer transfer unlikely

In our view, Liverpool will not be able to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

There is no way that Madrid will sell the 23-year-old after just one season.

Yes, the youngster is not having the best of times at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the Spanish powerhouse are not going to give up on him after just one year.

Moreover, Tchouameni himself is unlikely to leave arguably the biggest club in the world because of not having the best of times for a season.

Tchouameni has made 21 starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid this season, providing four assists in the process.

The youngster has made five starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this campaign as well.
