Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could make a bid for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar in the January transfer window, according to InterLive.

Liverpool could bid for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar

The Italian news outlet has claimed that Liverpool are looking for a new centre-back due to the injury to Netherlands international defender Virgil van Dijk.

Inter and Slovakia international defender Skriniar is on the radar of the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.

InterLive have claimed that Liverpool could make a bid of €40 million (£35.27 million) for the 27-year-old.

Skriniar is out on contract at former Serie A champions Inter at the end of the season.

Manchester United have also been linked with the £91,000-per-week (SalarySport) Slovakia international centre-back.

Could a January transfer happen?

In our view, Liverpool could be able to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan in the January transfer window.

Yes, Skriniar is one of the best players at Inter, who are aiming to finish in the top four of the Serie A table this season, but money talks.

The former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners face the prospect of losing one of the best defenders in the world on a free next summer.

They could well decide to get £35 million for the defender now.
