Italian journalist Rudy Galetti reports that Napoli star Piotr Zielinski is a player on Jurgen Klopp’s radar at Liverpool, with six midfielders being eyed by the German manager – though some of those six are not available this month.
Zielinski, 28, has been linked with Liverpool in the past. Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Liverpool made contact to sign Poland international Zielinski in the summer of 2021. He came within an inch of joining the Reds back in 2016.
This season, Zielinski has been in excellent form – with Napoli starring in Serie A. They only lost their first League game earlier this month, before bouncing back to beat Sampdoria 2-0 away from home. They sit at the top of the divison.
So, the chances of Zielinski leaving this month seems unlikely. He has featured in every one of Napoli’s Serie A games this season and with Napoli first, he will want to stay and win the title. But his contract is due to expire in June 2024.

Liverpool have compiled a list of six names, according to Galetti. Moises Caicedo, Jude Bellingham, Sofyan Amrabat, Youri Tielemans – even ex-Newcastle man Mikel Merino – and now, Zielinski. But a move this month looks unlikely.
Galetti: Napoli star Zielinski on Klopp’s radar at Liverpool this month
Back in the summer, West Ham made their move for Zielinski – but reporter Ciro Venerato told Luna TV that Napoli wanted £70million. Clearly, more that Napoli did not want to sell him, rather than actually believing he is worth £70m.
Zielinski is superb. He can play out wide, he can play as a false nine and he can play as a 10 or deeper in the midfield as an 8. A player with lots of experience, boasting 89 Poland caps. He has played 304 times for Napoli. A good signing.
