Here is the latest transfer news from Anfield with the club linked with an ambitious move for a defender who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid.

Leny Yoro

Kicking off this list is LOSC Lille defender Leny Yoro, who has been linked with a host of top clubs ahead of a potential summer move.

HITC have reported that Real Madrid are considered the favourites for a deal but a report from The Athletic has thrown Liverpool’s name in the mix.

The report states that Arne Slot’s side believe that the Frenchman will ultimately end up at Real Madrid but whilst Los Blancos hesitate about moving forward with a deal, the Reds are attempting to push forward with a deal in the meantime.

Ederson

Next on the list is a name that we suspect may well be featured on these transfer roundups throughout the summer window and that is Atalanta’s Ederson.

The Brazilian midfielder performed superbly well for the Italian side during the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.

A report from Tutto Atalanta reveals that Liverpool have asked for information about the £40 million rated midfielder ahead of a potential summer move.

HITC understands that Ederson is a name that Liverpool have ran the rule over but the Brazilian is not someone who is high on the club’s list this summer.

Virgil van Dijk

A mega-offer could be incoming for centre-back Virgil van Dijk, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr want to sign Van Dijk to partner Aymeric Laporte, as they look to improve on last season’s second placed finish.

It is claimed: “The general director of Al Nassr met with the Dutchman’s representative on Tuesday night, putting on the table a contract that would make the Dutchman the highest-paid defender in the world.”

Wataru Endo

A potential midfield signing is not understood to be the club’s priority with Liverpool believing they have plenty of options in the middle of the park.

Stefan Bajcetic is a name the club believe can have a big impact. As well as this, Wataru Endo, who made such an impact for the Reds is reportedly set to stay.

That’s according to The Athletic’s James Pearce, who has given his answer when asked about the future of the Japanese midfielder.

“I was asked recently about Wataru Endo and people I’ve spoken to have said there’s no chance that Endo goes anywhere; absolutely brilliant to have around the place, more than repaid the faith shown in him last season,” he told The Redmen TV.

Filip Jorgensen

A new backup goalkeeper could well be a high priority for the Reds this summer with the future of current number two Caoimhin Kelleher said to be uncertain.

One name who they will not be getting is Villarreal’s stopper Filip Jorgensen, who has officially put pen to paper on a new contract at the Spanish side.

HITC reported that the Danish goalkeeper was of interest to Chelsea and indeed Liverpool but the Merseyside club will have to look elsewhere if a new goalkeeper is wanted.
