Manchester City know that Jude Bellingham is worried Jurgen Klopp may not stay manager of Liverpool for the long haul. Both clubs are chasing his transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
That is according to TEAMtalk, which reports Bellingham is enamoured by the prospect of joining Liverpool. But the 19-year-old will demand Anfield chiefs offer him assurances that Klopp will remain at the helm. The German is one of the major draws of the possible move.
Klopp’s place in the Anfield hot seat is in some doubt amid the Merseyside outfit’s troubles this season. The Reds lost 5-2 to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie. They also only rank eighth in the Premier League table through 22 games this term.

Liverpool have two games in hand on Tottenham Hotspur, who sit in fourth place by seven points to the Reds. Yet the Anfield natives also crashed out of the Carabao Cup in the last 16 and the FA Cup in the fourth round. So, Klopp’s long-term future is now in some doubt.
Should Liverpool sack Klopp or the German walk away, Bellingham will reassess his stance on any transfer from Borussia Dortmund. Manchester City know of the England star’s fears as they target his arrival, as well. So, Etihad Stadium chiefs will try to use them in any talks.

Man City know Bellingham fears Klopp could leave Liverpool as they eye his transfer
Manchester City intend to play on Bellingham’s fears about Klopp’s status at Liverpool and push the idea of playing under Pep Guardiola to seal his transfer from Borussia Dortmund. While the 22-cap Three Lions sensation also does not view Chelsea as a viable destination.
The Blues will strive to rival Liverpool and Manchester City over Bellingham’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund. But the Birmingham City product does not envisage himself moving to Stamford Bridge right now. He left England to head to Germany in 2020 for an initial £25m.
A transfer for Bellingham this summer would also interest Real Madrid but not at the price Borussia Dortmund will seek. Sport reports the Bundesliga club value their midfielder, who Danny Murphy calls a ‘superstar’, at €150m (£132m). But the Galacticos feel it is too much.
Bellingham is under contract at the Westfalenstadion through to June 2025. BVB have also named the teenager as a vice-captain this term given his immense importance to the club. He has played 29 times in all competitions and offered 10 goals plus six assists this season.
