Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Daichi Kamada has reportedly rejected the chance to sign for Borussia Dortmund, with the Japanese international keen to move abroad amid interest from Liverpool.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga superstar is not too convinced about signing for Dortmund despite how big a leap a move to the German giants would be for the forward, with Kamada instead now keen on moving to a new division, with Liverpool interested in the 26-year-old.
Jurgen Klopp is seemingly a big fan of the attacker, and with Roberto Firmino set to leave Liverpool at the end of this season as a free agent, Kamada could be an exceptional replacement for the Brazilian international, who seems very keen on a move away from the Bundesliga this summer.
Kamada has been one of the best attackers in Germany over the last few seasons, with the Japanese star bagging 13 goals in all competitions this campaign and attracting plenty of interest from across the continent, and Liverpool could now be in the driving seat for the forward.

Indeed, the striker rejecting the chance to sign for Dortmund is a huge indicator that Kamada could want a Premier League move, and Liverpool should be ready to jump at the chance to bring in the Bundesliga talisman for free following this latest development.
Moreover, Liverpool could be tempted to sign Kamada as Firmino’s replacement given how similar the two players are and how much younger the Frankfurt star is compared to the current Anfield no. 9, with the Reds also capable of offering the forward a lower contract than the Premier League striker.
Liverpool must swoop to sign Kamada after Dortmund snub

Kamada rejecting Dortmund is quite the surprise, to say the least, with a move to the Black and Yellow’s a logical transfer for the Japanese international having become a superstar in Germany with Frankfurt. Yet this decision must be an indicator for Liverpool to make a move.
As stated, Firmino’s pending departure leaves Liverpool slightly short in the attacking department, and if the Reds are to return the top of English football next season, signing quality players, such as Kamada, will be a logical step in the right direction.
