Inter Milan want to sign Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino in the summer of 2023 as a possible replacement for Chelsea-owned striker Romelu Lukaku, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter Milan want Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino to replace Chelsea-owned Romelu Lukaku
Firmino is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, and former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners Inter want to secure the services of the Brazil international forward on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Inter are looking at the £180,000-a-week (SalarySport) forward as a potential replacement for Lukaku.
The Belgian striker is on loan at Inter from Chelsea at the moment.

Lukaku is scheduled to return to his parent club after his loan spell ends at Inter at the end of the season.
The striker has had injury problems this season and is not having the best of times at San Siro.
Could a 2023 summer transfer happen?
In our view, if Inter Milan want to sign Roberto Firmino on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, then they have to get the Liverpool forward on a pre-contract now.
Liverpool have already reportedly offered the 31-year-old forward a new contract.
So, if Inter do not make an offer of their own now, then they could miss out on the Brazilian, who could decide to extend his stay at Anfield.
