Liverpool are now set to make Bayern Munich their first offer for the transfer of Ryan Gravenberch, with coach Jurgen Klopp insistent on the midfielder’s arrival at Anfield.

That is according to Bild, which reports that Klopp will not give up in Liverpool’s pursuit of a transfer for Gravenberch. The German is unrelenting with his desire to see the 21-year-old arrive. He has also now urged Reds chiefs to intensify their discussions with Bayern Munich.

Gravenberch features highly on Klopp’s shopping list with the tactician adamant he needs to further reinforce Liverpool’s engine room. The Merseyside outfit have just finalised one deal with their £16m capture of Wataru Endo from VfB Stuttgart. But Klopp still has voids to plug.

Liverpool prepare an offer for Ryan Gravenberch’s transfer

The departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabian teams, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Ittihad, have forced Klopp to spend. Now, Liverpool are ready to make Bayern Munich a bid worth up to £20m to secure Gravenberch’s transfer. But the Reds are yet to table their offer.

Klopp has even sought Gravenberch’s signature since the start of the summer. While the 11-cap Netherlands Under-21 midfielder is now unhappy at the Allianz Arena as coach Thomas Tuchel does not afford him sufficient minutes. It will be tough for him to earn more, as well.

Tuchel favours Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and summer signing Konrad Laimer ahead of Gravenberch. He also left the Dutchman as an unused substitute for their 4-0 win at Werder Bremen on Friday. While Gravenberch started three of his 24 Bundesliga outings last season.

Ryan Gravenberch is open to leaving Bayern Munich for Anfield

Yet despite Gravenberch only playing 559 minutes of top-flight action since joining Der FCB from AFC Ajax for €18.5m (£16m) last summer, Bayern Munich are only tempted to consider sanctioning his transfer to Liverpool this summer if Klopp makes them a €30m (£25.5m) bid.

Gravenberch, who Bayern Munich’s former sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic called ‘very dynamic, is open to a transfer to Liverpool. The Mirror claimed back in April that he told the Reds he is willing to move. While Anfield chiefs are willing to match his £200k-a-week salary.
