Liverpool look set for a busy summer on the transfer front.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp and the Anfield hierarchy will likely move to strengthen the team’s midfield.

However, it doesn’t look as though Jude Bellingham will be on his way to Liverpool.

According to The Times, the Reds will no longer pursue a move for the Borussia Dortmund and England star.

This is reportedly due to the cost of the deal, which is expected to surpass £120million.

With that in mind, a host of other midfield names have begun doing the rounds on the Liverpool rumour mill.

One of these is Ryan Gravenberch, who plies his trade for Bayern Munich and represents the Netherlands.

According to Fussball Transfers, the Reds are pushing to secure the 20-year-old’s signature.

The German outlet – via Sport Witness – says there are ‘prominent interested parties’ looking at Gravenberch.

Liverpool are one of those who are keen on him and are ‘now going on the offensive’ to try and secure his signature.

The Reds are reportedly ‘making a move’ to get Gravenberch ahead of the competition.

As well as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly in pursuit of Gravenberch.

Our view

Gravenberch only joined Bayern last summer, but his lack of game time has led to speculation about his future.

He has made 27 appearances, but most of those have been off the substitutes’ bench for a total of 711 minutes.

Liverpool are looking for new energy in midfield and an outstanding box-to-box prospect like Gravenberch fits the bill.

Indeed, Julian Nagelsmann previously said the Dutchman “will be one of the best midfielders in the world.”

Obviously we’ll have to see what Gravenberch’s stance – as well as that of Thomas Tuchel and Bayern – will be in the summer.

Nonetheless, the chance to become a regular starter at Liverpool under heavy-metal manager Jurgen Klopp could maybe turn his head.
