A select round-up of the latest transfer news relating to Liverpool…
Liverpool bounced back from Sunday’s disappointing 2-2 draw with West Ham United by beating Middlesbrough 3-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Reds remain six points behind league leaders Chelsea, but are still in the title race – and manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to add to his squad in January to continue their title challenge.

One position that has been something of a concern for Liverpool is left back, as Klopp’s lack of faith in Alberto Moreno means that James Milner – a midfielder by trade – has been used at left back.
A number of players have been linked with moves to Anfield as a result, and another can be added to the list in Anderlecht star Frank Acheampong, as The Sun claim that Liverpool are keen on him.

Acheampong, 23, can play at left back or on the left wing, and his performances in Belgium appear to have triggered interest from Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.
The speedy Ghanaian will be in line to play at the Africa Cup of Nations in early 2017 though, and whilst he could be one for the future for the Reds, Klopp may prefer to have him available immediately.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has responded to reports that Liverpool are keen on raiding the Magpies for centre back Jamaal Lascelles.
Lascelles has starred for Newcastle this season, but Benitez has told The Northern Echo that whilst he has read about Liverpool’s interest,
“I saw the links about Jamaal, but I have been talking with him and with more people around him. He’s happy, he’s OK and we think that he’s a good player for us, so I don’t see any big change in January around him, or anyone really,” said Benitez.
