Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is now ready to accept the wage demands of Roberto Firmino to secure the striker’s free transfer from Liverpool over the summer.
That is according to Defensa Central, which reports that Firmino has issued Real Madrid an ultimatum about his potential contract. Los Blancos are striving to see the 31-year-old be a Galactico next season with the Brazilian about to leave Liverpool at the end of his contract.
Real Madrid appreciate what Firmino could bring to La Liga whilst Perez strives to reinforce their attacking options. Some doubts still remain around Karim Benzema’s presence at the Santiago Bernabeu. But even if the Frenchman stays on, Los Blancos want another forward.

Firmino has given Real Madrid an ultimatum about his transfer
Talks have taken place between Firmino’s camp and Real Madrid over a move with his deal at Liverpool expiring on June 30. The 55-cap Brazil international has also told the Galacticos that he wants a three-year contract. He will consider taking a two-year deal with an option.
Firmino has also made it clear to Real Madrid that they must offer him a €5m-a-year (£83k-a/w) salary. It would mark a huge pay cut for the striker compared to the £180k-a-week he has been earning at Liverpool. The striker penned his last deal at Anfield back in April 2018.

Firmino would earn £97k-a-week less than he was at Liverpool
Perez will happily welcome Firmino to Real Madrid at the terms the forward has demanded ahead of his departure from Liverpool. He is leaving Anfield after eight years and after 111 goals from 362 games. The striker, who Gary Neville called ‘sensational’, also had 79 assists.
His final campaign on Merseyside even featured 13 goals and five assists from 35 outings in all competitions. Only Mohamed Salah with 30 and Darwin Nunez with 15 registered more goals for Liverpool than Firmino in 2022/23. Just Salah (19) also hit more in the league (11).
