Callum Wilson has stated ‘I’m not starting any rumours’ after he was asked about Jude Bellingham’s bromance with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with England.
The Newcastle United striker was talking about Bellingham’s future and how he can’t see the Borussia Dortmund midfielder going to Barcelona, but he can see a possible transfer to Real Madrid or Manchester City.
Liverpool have been long-admirers of the 19-year-old, but it would just be their luck that during the summer when he is expected to move, they aren’t in the Champions League.

It wasn’t so long ago that Liverpool fans were watching Bellingham and Henderson linking up at the World Cup, which only increased the heat in the kitchen regarding the Dortmund star moving to Merseyside.
The issue facing the Reds is that they aren’t the only ones keen to bring him on board and others might have bigger pockets.
But when Barcelona was mentioned as a possible destination, Wilson thinks the Catalan giants have perhaps lost that spark, as he told The Footballer’s Football Podcast.
“Do you think though Barcelona used to be that club because Messi was there, everyone wanted to go,” said Wilson. “They had Xavi, Iniesta and all these players.
“Barcelona isn’t that team anymore. Don’t get me wrong, you would still go, but for Jude (Bellingham), Barcelona isn’t that team anymore. Madrid, yes. Manchester City, yes. Other than that, I don’t see where he would see himself. He is a top player, let me tell you.
“He’s so young still. You want to keep developing. Keep playing on a regular basis. It’s all about playing football for him, at his age. If he goes to Liverpool, then he plays. At Man City, there are players who score in three or four games in a row, then the next minute, they are on the bench because the manager decides to change it and he is one of the best managers in the world.
On Henderson-Bellingham chemistry at World Cup: “Haha, I’m not starting any rumours. We had a good togetherness.”

BELLINGHAM-HENDERSON LINK-UP
During England’s below-par run at the World Cup, Liverpool fans got a glimpse of what it would be like if Henderson and Bellingham did play alongside each other on the domestic stage.
During the knockout stages against Senegal, Bellingham made a bursting run through the midfield, before cutting back a pass to the on-rushing Henderson who slotted home.
Not only did that build-up play bring a smile to Liverpool fans, but the celebrations after.
