Don Hutchison has stated on Twitter that Liverpool should look to buy AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali, who he thinks is ‘better’ and a ‘cheaper’ option than the sought-after deadline day target, Moises Caicedo.
The former Liverpool midfielder thinks Tonali ‘does the lot’ for the current Serie A champions and there are many ‘similar’ players of Caicedo’s ilk, outside of the Premier League, that aren’t being touted for an inflated price.
Even though Caicedo hasn’t even played 30 Premier League games, the 21-year-old seemingly has an £80 million asking price on his head, it seems as though Brighton have turned down offers close to that figure.

These are crazy numbers for a player that hasn’t played 100 senior games yet, so are clubs better off looking outside of the Premier League?
During the summer of 2020, AC Milan secured a £27 million transfer for Tonali (Sky Sports), and during that period, he has racked up over 100 appearances for the Italian giants, including securing title glory.
With Jurgen Klopp’s side struggling big time this season, for Hutchison, it was pretty simple as to who they should target.
HOURS TICKING AWAY ON DEADLINE DAY…
Arsenal are going for Jorginho, after struggling to persuade Brighton to sell Caicedo. Chelsea are still playing Football Manager.
Newcastle United have further improved their squad. Even Everton might get a few faces through their doors before Tuesday’s cut-off point.
But nothing for Liverpool. There aren’t many teams in more need of freshness than the Merseyside giants themselves, yet only Cody Gakpo will seemingly be their only arrival this month.
