Liverpool are reportedly ready to launch a €30m (£25m) bid for Torino defender Gleison Bremer, with Newcastle United and Tottenham also chasing the Brazilian centre-back.
According to TuttoJuve, the Merseyside club’s interest in the 25-year-old has accelerated in the past few days, with Liverpool now readying a bid for Bremer ahead of the summer transfer window.
As per the report, top clubs in Italy are also chasing Bremer on top of the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham, though a Premier League move is now looking the most likely for the defender this summer given the finances on offer.
Bremer has slowly emerged as one of Serie A’s most in-demand players, with the Torino star having a breakout season in the Italian top-flight and attracting suitors from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Liverpool now the favourites to sign the defender.
As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Tottenham have been long-time admirers of Bremer, whilst according to Corriere Granata, Newcastle had a January bid rejected by Torino for the Brazilian, who signed a new contract with the club shortly after.
Indeed, the race to sign Bremer is hotting up, and with Liverpool now ready to submit a £25m offer for the defender, the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham will have to act fast if they are to beat the Reds to the Serie A star.
Tottenham and Newcastle better suited to sign Bremer than Liverpool

Heading into the summer transfer window, centre-back is hardly the position many football fans would think Liverpool need reinforcements in, which is what makes Newcastle and Tottenham better suited to sign Bremer.
Hailed as ‘extraordinary’ by Fabrizio Romano, Bremer would become a regular should he join Newcastle or Tottenham this summer, whilst at Liverpool, there is a strong chance that the 25-year-old will become nothing but a bench player behind the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.
