A new manager is in the dugout at Liverpool.
Even when Jurgen Klopp was at the club, there was a lot of talk about Mohamed Salah’s future and you feel that will only increase this summer.
Arne Slot has a number of big decisions to make as you feel who leaves is probably going to be more important than who enters.
In the case of Mohamed Salah, the interest from Saudi Arabia has been there since last summer and now he has 12 months remaining on his contract.
Given that he is 31, then Liverpool have a big call to make. Either he signs a new contract or he leaves this summer.
In some cases, if the Saudi Pro League were to put a hefty transfer fee on the table for him, then they might have no choice but to sell.
For Danny Murphy, if it’s in the region of £100 million, then he would be happy to see Salah leave, as he told talkSPORT.
At first, he was asked if he would sell the Egypt star and bring in Jarrod Bowen or Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, but he flat-out said no.
The former midfielder wants another London-based duo at Anfield and they are thriving at Crystal Palace.
Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are two of the most exciting players in the Premier League and Murphy would like to see them at Liverpool.
Whilst he thinks the duo are ‘amazing’, he added that he would pay around ‘£120 million’ for their talents.
Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool
On if he would sell Salah to bring in Bowen or Kudus: “I wouldn’t sell Salah unless he is saying ‘I want to go’,” said Murphy.
“It depends on the amount. I mean, how old is he? 31 or 32. If £100 million comes, and he wants to go, then he has to go. I wouldn’t go either (for Bowen or Kudus).
“If I got £100 million for Salah, I would give the £100 million to Palace and take Olise and Eze. I would get two for the price of one. Would you get two of them, do you think? (The response is ‘no chance’). What? We all ask for more. We all ask for things. They have never played a full season (on Palace’s high value for Olise and Eze). Potentially, they are amazing. You can’t pay £100 million for potential. Liverpool spent £30 million on Mane. They spent £40 million on Salah. At the time, it wasn’t crazy money. No one was going ‘oh, this is ridiculous’. It was a risk because they could see the diamond in the rough. £120 million for both?”

Arne Slot should push to keep Mohamed Salah
No one will argue that the season ended in a sour fashion for Liverpool and a number of their key players.
At one point, it looked like, for the second time in as many years, they were going to push for four trophies again.

But Liverpool forged an Arsenal-like collapse, didn’t take the Premier League title to the final day, got booted out of the FA Cup by Manchester United and were beaten by now-Europa League winners Atalanta.
Salah’s own form did dip off, even he himself would admit that, but it still shouldn’t hide the performances and numbers he produced.
He finished the campaign with 18 goals and 10 assists. If that’s him being off it, then imagine what he would be like if he really got going.
Slot needs to do everything he can to keep the player on board because he will prove to be huge in the Dutchman settling in.
