Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly confident that they will be able to get a deal done for Southampton defensive midfielder Romeo Lavia.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported on Twitter that Liverpool believe that they will be able to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The reporter has claimed that Liverpool fans need not worry that it is taking time for the Merseyside club to convince the Saints to sell them Lavia.
There has been speculation that Chelsea want to sign the 19-year-old Belgium international defensive midfielder, who has been described as “incredible” by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in the past.
Tavolieri reported this week that Liverpool have made a second bid for Lavia after their opening offer for the former Manchester City prospect was rejected.
Lavia has made 29 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The teenager has scored one goal in those games.
Exciting Romeo Lavia update for Liverpool fans
In our opinion, Liverpool fans should be encouraged by this latest update on the future of Romeo Lavia.
It seems that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are confident of having the Southampton midfielder in their squad soon.

Perhaps Liverpool and Southampton, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, could come to an agreement over a transfer fee soon.
Lavia is only 19, and we believe that under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, the teenager would improve and add facets to his game.
Liverpool have signed midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister so far in the summer transfer window.
The Reds will be determined to challenge for the Premier League title next season and at least finish in the top four.
