Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly worried about facing competition from Tottenham Hotspur for Alexis Mac Allister.
90min journalist Graeme Bailey has said on the Talking Transfers podcast that Liverpool want to get a deal wrapped up for Mac Allister before Tottenham make a permanent managerial appointment.
Liverpool fear that if Luis Enrique becomes the new Spurs boss, then the former Barcelona head coach could try to bring the Argentina international – described as “incredible” by his Brighton teammate Adam Lallana – to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ryan Mason is in temporary charge of Tottenham.
Mason will stay in the role for the rest of the season.
CM have reported that former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann and ex-Barcelona manager Luis Enrique are “the main” candidates “right now” to become the Tottenham head coach in the summer of 2023.

“Suddenly, is he on Manchester City’s radar? Who better to play behind Alvarez.
“They want to get it done before Tottenham’s new manager comes in place.
“What if Luis Enrique ends up there and he wants him? Does Pochettino want him at Chelsea?”
