Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been linked with West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen, a player Arsenal star Declan Rice rates very highly.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool think that West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen is good enough to replace Mohamed Salah at Anfield.

Liverpool linked with West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen

The Egypt international forward was strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window, and there are suggestions that the former Chelsea attacker could leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

Liverpool are considering options to replace Salah when he does part company with the Reds.

And, according to The Athletic, one of the players the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are looking at is Bowen.

The report has claimed that Liverpool “admire” the £80,000-a-week (SalarySport)  England international winger and “have been watching (him) for a number of seasons”.

Declan Rice played with Bowen at West Ham, and the Arsenal and England international midfielder rates the 26-year-old highly.

Rice told West Ham’s official website in March 2020 after a 3-1 win against Southampton at London Stadium in the Premier League: “Jarrod, I have to say, is top notch.

“He’s very sharp and he’ll be excellent for us.

“I think West Ham fans should definitely be excited about him because in training he dribbles around you, he’s as sharp as anything and he will be getting chances in every game and I’m pretty sure he will put them in the back of the net like he did today.”

Liverpool could be able to sign Jarrod Bowen in 2024 summer

We do not think that Liverpool will be able to sign Jarrod Bowen in the January transfer window, but the Reds could be able to do a deal for the West Ham United winger in the summer of 2024.

The Hammers are unlikely to sell any of their best players in the middle of a season in which they are playing in the UEFA Europa League and could also challenge for the Premier League top four or top six.

However, we saw what happened with Declan Rice in the summer of 2023.

West Ham sold Rice to Arsenal.

So, if Liverpool make a big offer for Bowen next summer, then the Hammers could cash in on the English winger.

Bowen has made 136 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The winger has scored 30 goals and given 25 assists in those games.
