Liverpool may not be splashing the cash this summer, with the global pandemic making big-money deals a little more difficult to justify than usual.
The Mirror reported in May that the Reds were changing their plans. Instead of going for expensive additions, Liverpool would instead be targeting promising youngsters for the future.
One player linked in that report is Vasco da Gama talent Talles Magno. The 18-year-old is emerging as a real talent over in Brazil, and is on the Liverpool radar.
Primarily a left-sided winger, Magno has notched two goals and one assist in 17 league games for Vasco, whilst he also has three goals in six games for Brazil Under-17’s.
Liverpool won’t be alone in the race for Magno, and new claims of a bold bid from Russian side Krasnodar are emerging.
Agent Carlos Leite has told Atention Vascainos, as quoted by ESPN, that Magno received an offer from Krasnodar, but has rejected them to stay with Vasco.

“Talles is not going to Russia right now. It is the player’s decision. He wants to stay at Vasco now,” said Leite.
Krasnodar allegedly offered Magno a deal worth €5million over four years, which works out to around £21,000-a-week in wages.
That wasn’t enough for Magno to move to Russia, and with the teenager seemingly set on staying with Vasco, Liverpool may find it difficult to sign him this summer – but they would surely hold a greater pulling power than Krasnodar.
