Liverpool almost signed Nabil Fekir.

Liverpool came agonisingly close to signing Nabil Fekir last summer.
BBC Sport reported a deal was close last June before the transfer fell through.
Lyon were unwilling to sell and Fekir ended up staying put.
Fekir has now addressed his future in a new statement released via Lyon’s official website.
The France international said: “Rumours are a part of the transfer window. It’s normal.
“I feel good here. My goal is to win a title with Lyon. Either way, I give my all.”

Fekir is playing both sides here, keeping the Lyon fans sweet, while indicating he will listen to potential moves.
What is clear, is that any side interested in Fekir will have to pay a lot of money, with Liverpool’s offers of around £50 million failing to get the job done last summer.
Lyon have a crucial Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona this week.
The first leg finished 0-0, with Barcelona having home advantage for the second leg.
