Will Schalke sign Liverpool target Dennis Aogo despite his knee injury? – Quite likely after what general manager Heldt said.

Liverpool is reportedly searching for a new left back. Their search might have to continue according to German newspaper Bild.

Recently, Dennis Aogo, a FC Schalke loan from Hamburger SV, who was linked to Liverpool, tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee during training andis facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines’.

It was quite likely that the Reds crossed Aogo off their list after this incident. Now there is another report, which supports this theory.

Will Schalke sign Dennis Aogo? – Quite likely after what Schalke’s general manager Horst Heldt said via Germany’s favourite tabloid Bild: ‘It is a great pity. Dennis has played well, he would have even be able to jump on the World Cup train. We are going to stand by him.’

Bild thinks that means that Schalke will sign the loan from Bundesliga’s Hamburger SV despite the injury. Schalke could hire the 26-year-old defender with a €3.5m transfer fee – a great steal for a player, who has an estimated market value of €6.5m.
