Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been linked with Lewis Cook of Bournemouth.

There must have been doubters when Lewis Cook joined Bournemouth from Leeds United in the summer of 2016, but the 21-year-old former Elland Road youngster has proved his quality in the Premier League and has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Signed from Leeds in the Championship in the summer of 2016 for an initial transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £6 million, Cook has established himself as an important player for Bournemouth and has attracted the interest of Liverpool, as reported by The Sun.

According to The Sun, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been tracking the England international, but the Merseyside outfit would have to wait a little longer to secure the services of the 21-year-old, who made 25 starts in the Premier League this season.

As announced on Bournemouth’s official website on Friday, Cook has signed a new four-year contract with the Cherries and will remain at the Premier League club until the summer of 2022 at least.
Liverpool will probably be disappointed, but the Merseyside outfit should continue to monitor the former Leeds midfielder, who will be looking to step up his game next season.
