Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been linked with Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook in the summer transfer window.

It is not easy for a player in the Championship to make the transition to the Premier League, but former Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook has done just that at Bournemouth, and there is no surprise that Liverpool have been linked with a move for the youngster in the summer transfer window.
Signed from Leeds in the Championship in the summer of 2016 for an initial transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £6 million, Cook has established himself as an important player for Bournemouth.

Contract extension talks
According to The Sun, Liverpool are interested in the 21-year-old midfielder and have been tracking him, but the British tabloid has also claimed that Bournemouth are in talks with the former Leeds star over a new contract.
It has been reported that the Cherries want the youngster to commit his future to the Vitality Stadium and sign a contract extension to take him beyond 2020.

Missing out
It seems that Liverpool’s (reported) interest in Cook, who earns £30,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, has sparked Bournemouth in action, and maybe manager Jurgen Klopp will miss out on the England international.
