Brazilian giants Santos could make a decision on Premier League-linked Angelo Gabriel’s future this week and may accept just £10 million for the Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Liverpool target, according to Globo Esporte.
With Endrick heading to Real Madrid, with Vitor Roque potentially on his way to Barcelona and with Giovani once again in Newcastle’s crosshairs, the drain of talent continues unabated from Brazil’s top flight.
18-year-old Angelo Gabriel could be the latest to depart. Santos are reportedly holding talks with top-flight rivals Flamengo regarding the hotly-tipped team.

A move to Flamengo seems unlikely with Angelo setting his sights on the club based on the other side of the Atlantic.
But still, with Santos expected to come to a conclusion over whether or not to sell their prized asset – potentially before the week is out – the next few days could be crucial in the career of one of South America’s most exciting young forwards.
Will Angelo Gabriel end up at Newcastle, Liverpool or Nottingham Forest?
“He is special and full of talent,” explains Angelo’s agent, highlighting the maturity that could stand him in very good stead going forward.
“Above all, he is a golden boy with charisma, cheerfulness and humility. He has a great desire to learn and listen to those who have more experience than him, training and improving day by day.”
“With his talent and his mindset, he can become one of the best. He is an exemplary professional who always wants to exceed his limits. He is a fast footballer, technically strong and fun to watch on the pitch, but also very intelligent and a team player. He’s not selfish or individualistic. Far from it.”
“Angelo is a footballer that all the top clubs know. It’s only a matter of time (before he moves to Europe), especially now that he’s turned 18.”
According to reports Newcastle United made a £22 million bid late last year. Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, allegedly put £17 million on the table.
Globo Esporte, backed up by Gazeta Esportiva, now believe that just £10 million will be enough. That is the fee Flamengo are demanding, and one Santos may be willing to accept.
“He is like Neymar,” former Brazil international Betinho tells Goal. “In terms of his dribbling at speed and his change of direction.”
Liverpool are also long-time admirers. Jorge Andrade, Santos’ sporting director, admitted that Jurgen Klopp’s side had sent scouts to watch him as he burst onto the scene back home.
