Hull City will be playing in the Championship next season but these three deserve to stay in the Premier League.

A 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace finally ensured Hull City’s relegation from the Premier League on the penultimate day of the season.

It means the Tigers will be playing their football in the Sky Bet Championship in 2017/18, but there are some of their players who are good enough to continue their career in the top flight.

Harry Maguire

A physical presence at the back, Maguire has been widely praised for his performances for Hull this season despite the side’s difficulties.

At 24-years-old the centre-back has also been tipped for an England call-up in the future and the Liverpool Echo reports that Everton are leading the way to sign the defender.

If the Mirror are to be believed then Liverpool have already tied up a deal for Robertson following the news of the Tigers going down, hoping he can solve their problems at left-back.

Robertson – who only has 12 months remaining on his current contract – was also impressive for Hull last time they were in the top tier in 2014/15 and at 23-years-old has a long career ahead of him.

Having never played in the Premier League after arriving at the KCOM Stadium a little under two years ago from Chesterfield, Clucas made the step up brilliantly.

Impressing many with his performances in the middle, this versatile midfielder has previously attracted the interest of Newcastle United, according to the Daily Mail, who will be looking to strengthen following their promotion.
