The Belgian international striker says supporters are yet to see his full potential.
Liverpool’s Divock Origi celebrates scoring their third goal
Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been talking to the club website about his plans for the year, as he looks to make an impact at Anfield.
The Belgian international had some impressive moments in his first season at the Reds, scoring 10 goals in 33 matches. However, those goals came in just 15 starts, with a good spell of form towards the end of the season, before an ankle injury ruled him out for several matches.
It has caused the 21-year-old to look at this year sensibly, as he looks to ensure Jurgen Klopp keeps him included in his first team plans.
“This year it’s about establishing myself,” Origi told Liverpoolfc.com. “I think people see potential in me and I am also confident in myself.

“Of course you want to play, but to play you have to deserve it. It comes with the work off the pitch in training, but also in the minutes you get because you have to maximise them.
“The manager knows my quality, my teammates know my quality and I think the fans haven’t seen the full potential of Divock yet, so that’s an exciting thing and I have to use that for the future.”
It is a mature approach by Origi, who has shown flashes of becoming a really exciting player already in his short Liverpool career.
The Belgian seems to be very much in his manager’s thoughts too, having featured in six of the club’s seven matches this season. Though he has mainly been a substitute in the league, the striker has started both League Cup matches, netting in the wins over Burton Albion and Derby County earlier in the week.
