Liverpool striker should not be guaranteed a place in the Leeds side.

Leeds United are interested in a January move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings, report ESPN.
And while Ings is a talented striker – the onus is on him to prove himself worthy of a place in the Leeds team.
He has missed the majority of the last two seasons with two serious knee injuries and has barely played this season.
Leeds are in the midst of a serious challenge for promotion, currently sitting in the play-off spots.

They do not have the time to rehabilitate players who may not be physically ready for one of the most demanding divisions in football, with games played twice a week.
Ings has played only 17 minutes for the Liverpool first team this season, and has spent the rest of his time with the under-23s.

But even in those appearances he has not displayed the goalscoring touch which saw him net prolificly for Burnley in 2013/14.
Ings has one goal in 241 minutes of under-23s football, and has plenty to prove.
Fortunately there is a lot of time between now and the January transfer window, and his priority will be trying to get back into Liverpool’s first team squad.
If he can’t manage that then a move to Leeds will be second best, but he also needs to prove he is ready for that too.
Leeds have numerous options up front already and new signings Jay-Roy Grot and Pawel Cibicki have not yet earned starting roles.
Unless Ings can offer a clear indication he is an instant upgrade and he is physically up to it, Leeds should hold back from pushing for a move.
