The Reds of Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs will lock horns in Saturday’s Champions League final in Madrid.

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has given his prediction for the upcoming Champions League final between the Reds and Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The 1983-84 European Cup winner believes Jurgen Klopp’s side will add to their Premier League double against Spurs this term by claiming yet another 2-1 win over Mauricio Pochettino’s side to give them their first Champions League gong since the Miracle of Istanbul in 2005.
However, Nicol believes that Tottenham talisman Harry Kane, who has declared himself “ready to go” for the showpiece in Madrid this Saturday (BBC Sport), will come on as a substitute and make it a nervy ending for the Anfield contingent.
The England captain suffered “significant lateral ligament” damage to his left ankle when he slipped in the quarter-final first leg against Manchester City on 9 April and he was initially feared out for the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign, as was reported by BBC Sport.

When asked his prediction, Nicol is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “Have a guess. I’m going to say 2-1 Liverpool. Oh definitely [it will be dramatic].
“Liverpool will be 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go. Harry Kane will come on for the last 10 minutes and score and then we’ll be biting our nails, hanging on. We’ll win 2-1.”
The Champions League final, the first all Premier League showpiece encounter in the competition since 2008, takes place at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on Saturday with kickoff at 8pm BST.
