Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic is out for the rest of the season and has been sent a supportive message by Reds target Gabri Veiga.
The Reds are feeing bad enough today after Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat away at Real Madrid.
That means Liverpool are out of the Champions League with a 6-2 aggregate thrashing against the Spanish giants.
Things have got even worse today though as midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has confirmed on Instagram that he is out for the rest of the season.
The teenager has been a rare shining light in a difficult season for Liverpool, turning in some impressive midfield performances.
Sadly, Bajcetic has now picked up an adductor injury and will not play again until next season.
This is a major blow for Liverpool and for Bajcetic himself, who must now attempt to bounce back from a lengthy lay-off.

Liverpool target Gabri Veiga sends message to Stefan Bajcetic
Bajcetic has received messages on Instagram from a number of Liverpool talents, including Kaide Gordon and Isaac Mabaya.
Former Reds hero Luis Garcia also passed on a message of support to the teenager as he begins his rest and recovery.
There was even a message from Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga, who commented on the post with ‘animo crack’, essentially telling Bajcetic to keep his head up.
This comes just days after Spanish reporter Manu Sainz, who was speaking to AS TV about Veiga’s future, suggested that Liverpool want to sign the Celta talent.
A host of clubs are keen on Veiga, who has a €40million (£35million) release clause in his contract.
Veiga, 20, has taken La Liga by storm this season with eight goals and three assists in 24 league games.
Both he and Bajcetic hail from the Galicia region of Spain and both came through the Celta Vigo ranks.
Veiga is a couple of years older than Bajcetic but it’s reasonable to suggest they may know each other from the Celta youth setup.
Bajcetic moved on to Liverpool whereas Veiga has become a first-team star at Celta and something of a hometown hero.
Who knows though, maybe Veiga will end up at Liverpool – and playing alongside Bajcetic in Jurgen Klopp’s engine room.
