Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been included in the latest Brazil squad.
Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been included in Brazil’s squad for next month’s friendly internationals against Argentina and Japan.
The 22-year-old failed to make it to the Selecao’s 23-man World Cup squad despite a good 2013-14 season for the Reds. However, under new Brazil coach Dunga, Coutinho has once again found himself in the national team fold.
The former Inter Milan man was involved in Brazil’s recent friendly internationals against Colombia and Ecuador, and it seems that he has impressed Dunga.
Brazil will take on Argentina in Beijing on October 11 and three days later will face Japan in Singapore. The first game will be especially one to watch given the history between the two countries, and Coutinho will be looking to impress if given the chance.
Coutinho has been in decent form for Liverpool so far this season and created no fewer than three chances for his teammates in their Champions League Group B opener against Ludogorets Razgrad at Anfield on Tuesday – a match that the Reds won 2-1.
