Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho expects Gabriel Jesus to easily adapt to life in the Premier League when he joins up with Manchester City.
Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has backed Manchester City new-boy Gabriel Jesus to shine upon his arrival at the Eithad in January, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
The 19-year-old completed his move to the Citizens in the summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £27 million plus add-ons, but it was agreed that he would not join up with his new teammates until the new year, once the Brazilian league competition had finished.

Jesus’ international teammate Philippe Coutinho offered high praise for the teenager when speaking to reporters, and he was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News:
“He is a crack player. He will have no difficulty in adapting – he is an agile, strong and fast player. Everything you need to play in England, he has it, and I’m sure he will do well.”
There have been a long-line of South Americans who have struggled to adapt to life in England following big-money moves, including the likes of former Man City star Robinho.

Jesus will have to ensure that his ability and obvious talent is matched by a high work-rate, especially working under Pep Guardiola, if he is to reach his potential, and prove that he can be a success in England.
If he does turn out to be as good as his teammates claim he is, City will have one incredible player on their hands.
