Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to facilitate a move to AC Milan this summer, with the forward set to leave Anfield for good at the end of this season.
According to Milan News, the Belgian international is open to accepting a lower annual salary than what he currently earns now to move to the current Serie A leaders, with Origi’s contract at Liverpool set to expire in June.
The 26-year-old attacker has been one of Liverpool’s best servants in recent years, with Origi scoring some of the club’s most important goals in both the UEFA Champions League and Premier League, earning him cult hero status in Merseyside.
Despite this, though, Origi is ready to leave Liverpool at the end of this season, with Milan the current favourites to sign the former LOSC Lille superstar on a free transfer as the Italian side look to move on from the likes of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
A player who is loved by Jurgen Klopp, Origi’s departure will be a hard one to take for Liverpool supporters, yet a move to Milan could be perfect for the attacker, who is ready to lead the line at a top club in Europe.
Milan are likely to qualify for the Champions League next season, and with Origi amongst their ranks, the Rossoneri will have another big-game player to call upon in their squad for huge fixtures in both Europe and Serie A.
Origi is making the right decision pushing for Milan move

Liverpool without Origi will be a strange feeling for both Reds supporters and neutrals, yet the forward heading Milan is the right decision for all parties involved given the potential of how successful this transfer could be.
Indeed, Serie A is the perfect league for Origi’s style of play, and with Milan on course to win their first Scudetto in over ten years, the Belgian is joining the club at an incredibly exciting period in their promising future under the flourishing model.
