Chelsea’s plea to fans over Victor Moses didn’t go quite as planned, with Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah praised.

Chelsea did their best to try and persuade supporters to help Victor Moses out yesterday amid the Nigerian’s bid to win a prestigious award.
Moses is one of the players nominated for the African Footballer of the Year award, hoping to follow in the footsteps of ex-Blues strikers Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba.
Moses is of of five nominees, three of which are Premier League based. Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are on the list, as well as Reds bound Naby Keita, and previous winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Moses had a successful year, helping Chelsea win the Premier League title earlier this year, but he has one of the least convincing cases of the quintet.
Chelsea’s Instagram post had dozens of responses, with many arguing the case that Liverpool signing Mohamed Salah is more deserving.
- _joseph_ms_Salah is better
- yousifmazrouaa Salah
- mohammed_seoud Mohammed salah will win
- slavabelkin03___ Salah
- zelbadry @mosalah22 is better
- mostafa1samir Salah ✌️✌️
- yesbro_12 @chelseafc there no point, the whole Egypt will vote for Salah and we can’t beat that
- samuel_e.hakeem Salah is the best in africa
Moses has found it a little tougher to make an impact this season, making only six Premier League starts.
Liverpool attacker Salah has had a far more exciting campaign.

The Reds ace has scored 11 goals in 15 matches for Liverpool since signing, and bagged 15 goals for Roma last season.
He also netted the high profile goal which qualified Egypt for the World Cup for the first time since 1990, and is the current favourite to win the award.
It is little wonder Victor Moses faces an uphill battle.
