Florian Wirtz, who joined the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen for over £100m, had a tough start to life in England and was initially left out of the starting line-up.
However, he has started to turn things around recently and is becoming an important part of Liverpool’s forward line.
The 22-year-old was named ‘Liverpool’s best player’ by Paul Gorst following a standout performance in the 2-0 win over West Ham United.
Despite his recent rise, there are claims from Germany that Salah is unhappy with the attention Wirtz is receiving.
According to BILD, ‘the fact that Wirtz is now leading the attack, ushering in a future in which Salah plays no part, sent the Egyptian into a rage.’
While this is not the first time such rumours have emerged, there seems to be little evidence that they reflect how Salah’s teammates actually feel about him.

Andy Robertson, speaking after the win over Inter Milan, said he would like to continue playing alongside the winger.
Virgil van Dijk also addressed the issue but avoided taking a strong stance in his remarks.
“It’s difficult, but it’s a collectively difficult situation that we’re all in. Obviously, between Mo and the club, things are going on. There are consequences, he’s not here today to help us try to get the three points. That’s the reality, but I don’t think anything changes in terms of our focus, our determination to get results for the football club,” he said.
“I don’t think I’m the one to speak about if someone has to apologise for anything. I think it’s him airing his feelings over the last couple of days, and that’s something that the club has to deal with.”
Slot also avoided specifics when asked about Salah and did not offer much insight ahead of Liverpool’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
