The Liverpool ace is slowly but surely proving to be a very useful signing for Jürgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool ace Fabinho sat down for an exclusive interview with French publication L’Equipe, and admitted that Paris Saint-Germain attempted to sign him before he competed his £40 million switch to Anfield from Monaco in the summer.
The Brazilian took his time to settle on Merseyside, but he is now proving to be a really useful addition for Jürgen Klopp’s side, especially with his ability to play in both central midfield and central defence.
It could have all been so different, however, had the 25-year-old chose to join PSG instead of Liverpool in the summer.
Fabinho spoke exclusively to L’Equipe, and suggested that he had the chance to join the Paris giants last year:

“I never thought of going elsewhere. What’s funny is that this PSG loan story came out just before our Champions League match [in November]. And I had already experienced a similar story the day before the final of the Coupe de la Ligue between PSG and Monaco [in March 2018]. It’s a strange coincidence, isn’t it? In fact, if I had to sign at PSG, it’s the year before it could have been done. They were very interested.”
Liverpool have a real chance of winning the Premier League title this season, and if they are to do just that, Fabinho will surely have a key role to play between now and May.
And the £40 million that the Reds spent on the Brazilian might very well end up proving to be an absolute bargain for them.
