Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren atoned for an earlier error by scoring against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Liverpool produced a dominant attacking display against Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Reds defender Dejan Lovren taking centre stage at both ends of the pitch, and the Croatian told reporters how he wanted to celebrate his headed goal, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
Jürgen Klopp’s men have been on a fine run of form in the league over the past two months, and haven’t lost since their 2-0 defeat to Burnley on August 20th.
Many people consider Liverpool to be genuine title contenders this season, after Klopp brought a flurry of impressive new signings into the club over the summer.

Lovren spoke to reporters over the weekend, and described the moment when he wanted to jump into the crowd at Selhurst Park, following a turbulent start to the game, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:
“I was angry, I was definitely angry. The lads asked me in the dressing room: ‘What did you want to do when you scored the goal?’ I said: ‘I wanted to jump into the crowd! I don’t know why. Where? In with the Palace fans? I don’t know, I didn’t know what to do! It was a moment of…because I’d say I didn’t deserve this, you know. I said to myself it’s not possible, I am working too hard to make a mistake like that and to lose the game.”

The Reds have an extremely favourable set of games ahead of them in the league over the next six weeks, with their next six fixtures coming against teams all outside of th current top-six in the Premier League table.
If Liverpool are to mount a sustained challenge for the title this season, they must tighten up defensively, and that includes back-tracking and more discipline from their midfielders in order to provide their back-four with more protection.
There is still a long way to go, but Reds fans must be more confident of there chances of success than have been in a long while.
