Lewis Warrington has penned a new two-year deal at Everton to keep him at Goodison Park until 2024 – and Liverpool star Tyler Morton joined Jose Baxter in responding. Warrington has spent time on loan at Tranmere.
Warrington, 19, was a regular in Everton’s second string during the first part of the season. He played 13 Premier League 2 matches, and three in the EFL Trophy. He then joined League Two side Tranmere in January.

His form for Tranmere, in which he started 17 consecutive League Two games after remaining an unused substitute in his first games, has convinced Everton. They have handed him a new deal until June 2024.
It has delighted Warrington, who is yet to be handed a senior debut by the Toffees. He now has the chance to impress Frank Lampard in pre-season before deciding whether he needs to go on loan. He posted on Instagram.

The midfielder certainly is showing Everton that he deserves to be given a chance. While League Two is fourth-tier football, he showed during that loan that he perhaps needs to be playing at a higher level.
The chances of him getting a go in Everton’s first team next season is unlikely. But he could easily go on loan to a League One side. Even a Championship club during the 2022-23 campaign – furthering his career.
Ex-Everton player Jose Baxter, and Liverpool midfielder Morton, were among those to react to his Instagram post.
