The Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester strikers that West Brom could target in January as Alan Pardew admits improvement is needed.

Alan Pardew has admitted West Bromwich Albion may need to delve into the transfer market in January for a striker after failing to score in his first two matches in charge.

“January is not far away, and we’re going to have to look at that if we can’t increase our goalscoring ratio,” Pardew was quoted by the Express and Star. “It’s not great and we need to improve it.”

So here are three Premier League forwards the Baggies could target.

According to the Sun, Giroud could leave Arsenal in the New Year as he seeks more game time ahead of trying to get into France’s squad for the 2018 World Cup.

With Everton and West Ham United also believed to be interested it would be quite the coup if West Brom won the race for his signature, though.

Perhaps a more realistic target but also more of a gamble as Ings has played just 13 times for Liverpool in two-and-a-half years at the club after suffering two serious knee injuries.

Before that, however, when the 25-year-old was at Burnley he was considered one of the most exciting young English attackers around and could rediscover his form at the Hawthorns.

Previously linked with the West Midlands side by the Birmingham Mail, the Mirror claims that Slimani now desperately wants a transfer from Leicester City having started just one league match all season.

The 29-year-old has 12 goals in 41 appearances for the Foxes since a 2016 switch from Sporting – where he had a record of more than a goal every other game.
