West Ham are claimed to have Roma stopper Lukasz Skorupski in their plans, Tuttomercatoweb reported this week.

The Poland international is 27 and wants to play regular football after a season stuck on the bench.

The Hammers hopes, will be directly impacted by Liverpool’s own transfer plans, unless they move quickly.

Liverpool have their eye strongly on Brazil international Alisson, having been linked with him since January.

Their need for a new goalkeeper was intensified by Loris Karius’ high profile blunders in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Loris Karius of Liverpool breaks down in tears after defeat in the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool on May 26, 2018 in Kiev, Ukraine.

The Guardian reported this week that Liverpool are weighing up a £79 million move for Alisson, with Roma wanting the equivalent of 90 million Euros for his signature.

This will not be an easy transfer to pull off, and Roma may want to wait until after the World Cup to see if his price rises.

If West Ham are serious about signing Skorupski, then they will have to move for him early.

The moment Alisson goes – if Liverpool are successful, Skorupski will be elevated to default number one, and West Ham’s chances of signing him will become a lot harder.
