Harry Wilson joined Fulham from Liverpool last summer in a deal worth £12m, and he immediately made himself a fan favourite at Craven Cottage after a brilliant Championship campaign.

However, the Welsh international has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League this season, and his lack of playing time has become a concern.

Despite being back from injury, Wilson has been unable to break into the Fulham team, with the likes of Bobby Decordova-Reid and Willian keeping him out of the starting lineup. Wilson has made 16 Premier League appearances this season, but only four of those have been starts.

Wilson’s lack of game time has been a major disappointment for Fulham fans who were expecting big things from the 25-year-old after such a bright season last time around.

However, he’s not delivered. He has zero league goals or assists to his name this term, and, to be honest, he’s not really come close to getting off the mark in either department.

It’s not as though Wilson hasn’t proven he can do it at this level in the past, he scored seven goals for Bournemouth back in the 2019/20 season, but, for some reason, he’s not hitting those heights this time around.

It’s remarkable that Wilson is yet to score this season. After all, he netted 10 last term and his shooting was described as ‘world class’ by Jurgen Klopp in the past.

It’s a sad situation for a player who looked ready to make the next step in his career, but Wilson’s struggles at Fulham have highlighted the difficult transition that some players face when moving up to the Premier League. It’s clear that Wilson has the talent, but he needs to find a way to translate it to the top level if he is to fulfil his potential.
