Liverpool want Sofyan Amrabat and one agent admits that calls from other clubs are nice – but they have a strong relationship with Fiorentina.
Intermediary agent Alberto Maria Fontana has been quoted by Tuttomercatoweb as saying that they are on ‘excellent terms’ with Fiorentina’s hierarchy.
Fontana hailed Amrabat as ‘incredible’ in terms of breaking up play and the defensive side of the game, but also feels that he is showing his quality on the ball.
Fontana added that there are calls from other clubs but Amrabat has a long deal with Fiorentina and he is happy to be shining after being in Lucas Torreira’s shadow.
“Besides being incredible in the breaking phase, he also knows how to behave well with the ball at his feet,” said Fontana. “Last season he played little because of Torreira’s shadow, but now Fiorentina are finally enjoying his qualities.”
“Fiorentina is a respectable club, calls from other clubs are nice, but we have a lot of respect for the choices that are taking on the partnership. The player is linked to Fiorentina by a long contract with the option to renew him for another season. The calls will come, but we are on excellent terms with the management,” he added.
Fontana’s phone has probably been ringing like never before given Amrabat’s exceptional performances for Morocco at the World Cup.
A move to the Premier League could be on the cards with Liverpool showing a strong interest.

Liverpool a major contender for Amrabat’s signature
The links between Amrabat and Liverpool are now very strong.
Foot Mercato claim that Jurgen Klopp personally held a meeting with Amrabat’s representatives to discuss a move.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg claims that sporting director Julian Ward is pushing the interest in Amrabat and is a huge fan of the Morocco star.
The signs seem strong at this point and who can blame them?
Amrabat has been unbelievable in Qatar, proving to be the heartbeat of the Morocco midfield in their staggering run to the World Cup semi-finals.
The 26-year-old has been a defensive powerhouse and regardless of the result against France, his stock has increased dramatically.
Liverpool may want another holding midfielder to compete with Fabinho and Amrabat appears to be a perfect candidate – but Fontana doesn’t seem to be desperate to engineer a January move.
