Liverpool want Sofyan Amrabat and his agent has told Fabrizio Romano that he is receiving a lot of calls for the Fiorentina midfielder.

The Reds are in desperate need of a few midfield additions come 2023.

Sure, the focus is on Jude Bellingham and why wouldn’t it be? The Borussia Dortmund and England star is shining at the World Cup, proving that he has the potential to become the next truly great midfielder.

Liverpool not only need alternative targets to Bellingham but also players that could feasibly come in alongside him to bolster Klopp’s engine room.

Fabinho has been a big disappointment this season and it may be wise for Liverpool to add another anchor man to compete with the Brazilian.

Liverpool want Sofyan Amrabat

A new name in the mix of late is Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Liverpool have placed Amrabat on their midfield wanted list alongside Bellingham and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.

Plettenberg claims that Fiorentina would want around €30million (£26million) for Amrabat and he is open to leaving Fiorentina.

So just why is there so much interest in Amrabat?

The former Feyenoord man is currently enjoying an outstanding World Cup campaign as the heartbeat of Morocco’s midfield.

Amrabat was just incredible against Spain on Tuesday, helping Morocco reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup via penalties.

The hype is really building around Amrabat and Liverpool may now offer the 26-year-old a life-changing move.

Fabrizio Romano has now spoken to Amrabat’s agent Mohammed Sinouh given that there are so many rumours surrounding Liverpool.

Sinouh claims that he is getting a lot of phone calls asking for information about a potential move for Amrabat.

Sinouh claims that everybody is now seeing that Amrabat is clearly the best holding midfield player at the World Cup in Qatar.

Amrabat is a ‘top professional’ according to Sinouh and he claims that the midfielder is just focused on Morocco right now even if Liverpool are looking to sign him.
